A bearded man cradles an orange phone with a plaintive look on his face

Last week, we held our third episode in our Consent Masterclass Series. This time we covered the topic of consent with regards to purchasing leads with put expert panel including Puja Amin of LoanDepot, Eric J. Troutman of Squire Patton Boggs, and Daniel Delnero of Squire Patton Boggs.

Led by Puja Amin’s insider experience, the panel looked at how the shifting sands of Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) regulations and consent requirements affect leads purchasing. They also conducted an in-depth enumeration of best practices for consent buyers.

Specific topics of discussion included why good standards for consent buying are essential to brand protection, how to safely buy leads, how to balance the competing needs of sales and compliance without compromising either side, what value callers derive from knowing the sources of leads, how to write and update contracts with lead sellers, and developing vendor questionnaires. The panel discussed these topics in such a way that they serve as very practical advice for any businesses that purchase leads and want to remain compliant with the TCPA.

The panel also discussed important topics such as Facebook v. Duguid in the context of consent buying. They even took time to answer some good questions from participants. Once again, this was a fruitful, engaging, and detailed conversation amongst some the top industry experts. A recording of the webinar and a link to download the slide deck can be found here.
