Calls to certain states on restricted Do Not Call (DNC) dates could result in a potential state violation.
Numerous counties in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington D.C. have declared a state of emergency. While there is no law prohibiting marketing to these areas, limiting solicitation calls and texts is recommended during Hurricane Florence.
Louisiana has lifted the restriction on telemarketing (including text marketing) put into place due to Tropical Storm Gordon. The state of emergency was just lifted today, September 5th, 2018.
Telephonic solicitations into the state can resume in compliance with the general provisions of the LPSC Do Not Call Program General Order, LPSC General Order R-29617.
