Ban on Telemarketing in New York Continues

On September 17, Governor Hochul issued an executive order extending the disaster emergency through October 17, 2021. As a result, the telemarketing ban will continue for the below-mentioned counties through that date.


A new disaster emergency related to tropical depression Ida has been declared in the state of New York by governor Kathy Hochul. This emergency overlaps the existing emergency on gun violence and will continue the ban on telemarketing calls into the state through October 2nd, 2021.  This new disaster emergency specifically affects the counties of Bronx, Dutchess, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Putnam, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, Sullivan, Ulster, Westchester, and contiguous counties. Telemarketing is prohibited in these counties until the emergency order ends.
